I just wanted to say that I really enjoy the petfinder pictures of dogs that are available for adoption on your website! We are hoping to get a 2nd dog. Vader would love a buddy. I just recently signed up to volunteer at our local shelter so I'm sure if we don't have one before I start that we will soon after! I know we'd need a dog 6 months or younger with having small children. I just don't think I could trust one any older as my kids like to get down on the floor give hugs, etc. We thought about getting a 2nd dane or Irish Wolfhound.

Ahh, you're getting the "always room for one more" syndrome ! Be careful, it's tough to beat, especially when you volunteer in a shelter ;D. Actually, sometimes an older dog is just the ticket with small kids, age isn't always an important factor, a great temperament is. Older dogs can be more gentle with small children, as opposed to a young pup that's mouthy and nippy. Most important, a dog that will get along great with Vader !
