.....so very, very tired . It's 1:30, we're going on night 4, taking Miss Cheyenne out every hour on the hour. Hopefully, the kidneys are getting used to working normally, we can now get about 4 hours in between evening and morning potty breaks so we can both get some sleep at night. I really have never seen a dog pee in such amazing quantities ;D . I haven't been this tired since my kids were infants, or maybe I'm just getting old and need more beauty sleep !

I don't think you're getting old nor do you need any beauty sleep....you are as lovely outside as you are inside for doing the things you do for those dogs.....

I hope this gets sorted out soon so you can get some sleep... I agree with Richard...you are absolutely beautiful to do this - not many would.

I agree, you are an Laura. My dogs have always had unlimited access to water (because I have a dog door and they can pee freely whenever) and they do regulate themselves. With Petey he is just starting to realize that the water is always there. This took about a month. For weeks, he gulped every bit. Now he just drinks normally throughout the day when he is thirsty and never the entire bowl. It takes time though. But if the water is still limited to several times a day, he may always drink it all and not self regulate. I still can't believe they only gave him water once a day.

Stop, you guys are making me embarassed! Believe me, I'm not ready for cannonization just yet , I was getting loopy last night and running out of websites to surf ! We had a GREAT day today, woke up to a dry crate, and NO accidents in the house, woohoo! I was starting to lose it yesterday, I fed her dinner in the crate, and she promptly let go a stream just as she ate the last bite, all over the crate, and all over her dish . I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. And my poor husband really deserves to be sainted ;D, to put up with all this madness, the early morning grabass and barking sessions at 6 am are starting to get to him . The real hero in my book is the woman who runs the rescue, I don't know how she does it, she has four of her own dogs, plus up to 5 more fosters, and 28 in kennels right now, runs the whole shebang on donations and adoption fees. If we could run public shelters in a similar fashion to the way rescues work, I think a whole lot of dogs could be saved from the needle brigade . Here's Lorraine's dogs Brooke, how do I resize this thing ?

Brooke, how do I resize this thing ? Where in the world did you find a picture that size? The problem with resizing is that you can make it smaller with no problem but the picture gets all distorted and blurry beyond recognition when you enlarge.

Beautiful picture, but I feel sorry for the dog in the middle. You think he's got a complex because he's not a husky?
