Happy Valentines Day to those of you who enjoy this day. Personally, I don't really like valentines day. I think it is a commercial money making scheme and I don't think I need the restaurant, jewelry and flower association of the United Sates ordering me to express love one day a year just to make them rich. ;D

Since I've been married I've found myself missing the celebration of many holidays. Especially valentines day. Shen is such a scrooge when it comes to holidays. I'm afraid in time it will even be that way with our anniversary.
I don't know. I used to think the same way but now I miss it. What fun is life if you don't even get to look forward to certain days were others make you feel special and visa versa? Its like a mini break away from all the stressers in life.

I totally agree about the comercialism of V day and get really annoyed about it - but you guys are right it IS nice to be made to feel special... Petey bringing that baloon is truly sweet...it is those little gestures that mean the world.... My husband played on his electric guitar and sang the absolute worst rendition of "cinimon girl" by Neil Young that I have ever heard and I totally LOVED it...it is still bringing tears to my eyes!

Hope you all had a good V-Day, I myself saw my husband for a total of 15 minutes . I spent most of the weekend at the Pet Expo, and he worked. Still got roses and cards from him and the hounds though .

We just "celebrated" today. We went out to eat and thats about it. We wanted to try a new restraunt and were in the mood for Italian. We went to this place called Belle Villa. It looked really nice..... On the outside. I thought it was going to be like an Olive Garden. We walked in and it was a step up from a 1960's style Wendy's. It had the red vinyl tables and seats and all. Served on plastic silverware and plates. Shen took a look at the place and asked if I wanted to stay or find someplace else...I just laughed shrugged and said "might as well stay". Ironically enough I kept thinking it seemed to match the year we've had.
