The past couple of weeks haven't been the greatest for me either, but I have sure been getting some good laughs over it! First of all....last week I went to the dentist and had to have a front tooth pulled and a false *flipper* put in. It looks great when it's in, but you know what people look like with missing teeth!!!!!!!!! Not a pretty site. Well, that's not the only thing I didn't realize with missing teeth. Last night I took it out to clean etc., and then didn't put it right back in and decided to take my bp pill. I popped it into my mouth like I've done a thousand times, and it popped right back out of the space where I have the missing tooth!!!! This afternoon I took the dogs for a walk because it's really beautiful today. Bright sunshine, no wind.... It's hard walking with all the new snow we've been having, so I decided to come home and get a pr. of snow shoes. It's been several yrs. since I've worn them, but the hardest part was getting the bindings over my boots, and off the dogs and I went again. I was doing just fine until this idiot on a snowmobile comes racing towards us. I stepped off the trail into the deep snow to let him pass, because they won't go around you and what makes me angry is that it isn't even a designated snowmobile trail!!! So he speeds off, and when I started to turn around to get back onto the trail I tripped over a branch that was hidden under the snow and fell down!! I turned onto my back to get the snow shoes off, because there's no way in H**l I could get up with them on, and let me tell you!!! It wasn't easy getting them off with me lying on my back in 2ft. of powder snow either!!!! Then I had to figure out how to GET UP!! The dogs had come back to wait for me and Pup came over to me, so by balancing myself on his back with my left hand and using my walking stick with my right, I was able to get to my feet!!! That was enough for me. I came home carrying the snow shoes and don't think I will try that again. I am exhausted!!

Loey, I betcha you can use a straw now with no problems..... One time one of my Dad's teeth fell out....it was sorta dark in the room and he searched around on the floor and thought he'd put it back in....a few minutes later, he realized what he'd put back in his mouth was a piece of popcorn that had fallen on the floor.....eeeewwwwwwwwww Ann, I think if those kids ever take anything back with them to Japan, they'll have the gift that you gave them....as fortunate as you felt to have them in your training group, they should feel the same way in return. That is the beauty of a teacher/student relationship, it works on so many levels and what the student takes with them is lessons to be used in life and what the teacher takes from it is the feeling of making a positive impact on the students life.... -Richard

Ann, I never thought of that. Now I am like a Llama!!! And Richard!! Around our house it's downright dangerous to pick ANYTHING off the floor in the dark, let alone put it into your mouth!!!! That is sooooo funny!!! Well, if laughing makes you healthy, I got my share of *health* today!! ;D ;D

What a sad and emotional night for you, Ann. Yes, there are always those through our lives that we have a special feeling and bond with, and it really hurts when we are separated from them, and we never forget them. I lost touch with the Trainer who started me out, but I have never forgotten her and have always wondered where she is now etc., and keep saying I will do a search and see if she is still living, but I haven't yet. Maybe I will do that today.......................

That is sad. But I am sure that you have touched their lives as much as they have touched yours.
