We have taken Logray our 3 month old Lhasa outside to 2 places, the yard on the side of the house (we live in an apartment) and my parent's fenced in yard. Logray has been around ONE dog, my parent's dog (who has all of his shots). My husband just went to his fathers house today and brought Logray...I am very mad at him at the moment. They have an outdoor cat who LOVES to catch mice etc. I did NOT want Logray to go...he brought him anyway. THEN he toyed with the idea of taking him swimming. Lhasas don't make good swimmers and I think he is too young! Am I over reacting here? ?

Actually, meeting a cat is good socialization. If your dog has had all his vaccines, take him EVERYWHERE you can!
Any dog with legs can swim, it just depends on "how well". Personally, I'd start him out swimming in the bathtub before I put him in a lake or deep swimming pool, just to make sure he will get the hang of dog-paddling and not sink!
Also, personally, I wouldn't take a pup under 3 months swimming at all. Maybe to a lake, where he could play in the waves, but if your husband is thinking of taking Logray to a deep lake and just tossing him in... NO... Wait until he's older. ;D

actually bulldogs cant swim, they are stocky dogs, very muscular...they sink like rocks, my neighbors bulldog tryed soooo very hard, and just kept going down..
actually id agree about the cat, with all the shots and everything its good socilization...as far as swimming that is a personal choice, I know my puppy is great at and loves it but im still hesitant some times...especially with all his fur...
