I was hoping that Sadie scratched herself and it would go away. But there is a spot on her side that is getting bigger. I finally figured out that the spot is over one of her nipples. The nipple is not recognizable now. The area kind of looks like several warts clustered together. Half of the area is black like it had been bleeding before. I pinched the area and it doesn't feel like there is a mass connected below the skin. I am hoping it is just a topical infection because a little fluid does come out of it if I press on it. Sadie isn't in pain but if it is in an infection I want to stop it before it continues to spread. We set the appointment for Saturday. It will make a good practice session for her "calm" command. On a good note, Elsie's swelling is finally going down. It looks like she will be able to get spayed the 17th as long as something doesn't happen before then. I will probably leave her over night because of her having heart worms. They gave me a sheet of pretests we can order before she goes in. Is there anything important I should have them test before she goes under anesthesia?

Make sure you tell the vet about Doogie's hot spots. You never know if this is some sort of contagious thing. Let us know what the vet says.
I am glad Elsie is doing better!!

You never know if this is some sort of contagious thing. I didn't think about that. I don't think it is but it would be a good excuse to pick up Doogie and take him when we take Sadie. I wonder if Mom's ex will let me take Doogie if I hint around about ringworm. After all, people can catch that from their dogs and it can manifest into a skin condition. We wouldn't want the ex to catch it would we?
