He is doing sooooooo well. He has so much energy. Oh I could kick myself for not seeing the signs before. The mass AND capsule are gone. Sorry if this grosses you but it is 100 times better than it was. Imagine a huge orange was in the left side. It is gone. He is acting like himself completely. FYI He panted in the morning. I thought he was hot He put his head down when I approached his neck and he looked at me. I didn't think anything of it. He was hiding the mass. He yelped when Brian was playing with him. I thought Brian stepped on his paw A woman was hugging him...he knows and loves her and he barked at her. He was sensitive to the hug. He had decreased energy. I thought because it was hot. Never ever ignore a change in behavior...however slight. If you notice something is different...something is wrong. I am so happy that he is well!!!

Yup, nice to see him shining again!!
That's a heckuva suture job...the size of an orange you said?? eeeesh!
We'd always do a thorough head to tail and top to bottom check after a long walk on the Bruce trail but that was maybe once or twice a month. Over the last while, we've started being a bit more vigilant in between the big walks for "hands all over" inspections and that is how we discovered the nodules on Nikki (that ended up being benign - whew).
Don't fret over thinking you missed something Nicki. Sunny definitely is in good hands and stuff like that happens fast. You caught it and treated it and Sunny is back to feeling good again: that is what's important.

Oh Nicki, that is wonderfully fantabulous news, he looks great !! I just read the whole thing, and Aussie is right, go easy on yourself, we can be incredibly vigilant abou their health and still miss things because we live with them on a day to day basis. Bottom line, you took great care in getting him better and he's doing great!

Thanks Laura and I am praying for your son's full recovery right now. I cannot even imagine the stress when your child is involved. I was over the edge with my dog!! I actually suspended the semester because I missed so many classes due to this (I just couldn't leave him home alone) so I am going to work and return next September. They won't refund my tuition so it is a given I will finish next year.
