Next month, I'm officially switching my dogs to a raw diet!!!
I was feeding EVO and was extremely happy with it. A good friend of mine sells Solid Gold, which I'm not a big fan of, and they came out with Barking at the Moon. It's like EVO but by Solid Gold. I'm really unhappy with it. The girls are taking HUGE poops (the amount of poop coming out of my 10lb dog is amazing!) and they both have some tear staining in the corners of their eyes. Also, for the first time in Divina's 4 years she's gotten an infection in the wrinkle above her nose. It was really NOT fun getting my tea tree oil/witch hazel solution wiped into that tiny, painful wrinkle. Poor girl. She's also not been as active. Plus, Cori has been gassy and she is NEVER gassy.
So, I've gotten a bag of EVO and switched them back. I dumped the BATM in the forest by my house for the coyotes and other wildlife to eat. The poor things out there. That forest is getting torn down and they have no place to go. Which scares me. (I've got small dogs! )
My agility instructor sells Bravo! raw food. She just got her order in for this month so next month I'll be ordering from her. I know my girls can handle raw because I often give them raw meaty bones and they don't have a problem with it. So in a month, my girls will be eating raw! I can't wait to switch, I'm very ready for it! ;D

That is great that you are switching to completely raw food. Is Bravo a ground food though? If so, even though it is raw, it is not the best to feed either. They need the bones for the calcium and other nutrients as well as for their teeth, and the commercial raw products are much more expensive than buying fresh or frozen meats, chickens etc.
I think it would be o.k. to feed the commercial raw "in a pinch", but I would not make it my dogs steady diet.

From the Bravo website...This is the best I can do for now. I don't have room for another freezer for fresh or frozen meats, these are packaged so I can fit it in a small spot in the freezer.

Well, it doesn't really matter what's better for them cuz my mom lost her mind when she found out I was switching so no raw diet for them...
I will be moved out soon and will be able to feed whatever I want then. So we are gonna continue with EVO for now!
