Today I had Jake outside (about an hour ago) and the neighbor dog was out and they like to run along the fence together . All of a sudden he stopped and wimpered and was limping back holding his paw in the air. I think that he got his paw in the hole of the chainlink and yanked it out really fast. Well, I thought he was seriously injured . He is walking with a SLIGHT limp right now and is not crying or wimpering when he puts pressure on it or when I touch it. My BF thinks he needs to go to the vet today and I think to wait and see. He does not appear to be in pain right now and I am limiting all activity for the rest of the day. Do you think that I should wait a few days and see if it gets worse or take him in? Like I said he does not appear to be in pain and the limp now is very SLIGHT...

If he's not stressed, and not in pain, and seems to be putting weight on the injured paw, it's probably ok to use the 'watch and wait' method. If he's still limping after 24 hours, I'd take him to the vet just to be sure there's no greenstick frature. Puppy leg bones are pretty fragile, and can get stress fractures pretty easily.
