Sadie is close to 7 months old and was spayed almost 2 months ago. After surgery I noticed that she became very careful about " downing". She doesn't like to hold the position for a long time and normally resorts to leaning slightly to one side to get comfortable. When she tries to scratch her ear she can't get her foot to touch it. She was able to before. She won't jump up into the truck so I have been helping her. Other than those things she is back to her normal self. She runs and plays without any discomfort. All my prior dogs have been male so I was wondering if this loss of some mobility was normal after spaying? ???She doesn't seem to be in any pain and she has been her normal frappy self lately.

That seems odd to me... after two months especially.
Have you discussed this with a vet at all?? It's kinda hard to diagnose anything with this over the internet. A vet would be a good start though...

I rubbed her stomach when she was laying on her back and it didn't bother her until I applied a little pressure. Her head popped up and she gave me a strange look but didn't whine or anything. Her stomach is a little hard on either side of the incision. Okay to the vet she goes then. I will make an appointment now that I know this isn't normal. Her behavior didn't worry me right after surgery. Lord knows I have never wanted to stretch after I had surgery. I guess I will just have to suffer through the 15 minute lecture again on how feeding raw is bad. Thanks!
