I've had Ripley on a raw diet for about a week now, and I see a tremendous improvement, not only in the way he looks but the way he acts.
He's filling out nicely, I think he's finally topped 6lbs, his coat is gorgeous and shiny and I have had NO problems with diarrhea or vomiting except when he gets *gasp* into Buster's kibble! Also, I have had NO 'nervous pacing' problems since I started raw feeding. He has no problem with a 30-minute down-stay and will even fall asleep. He's calmer and more content, I think because he's actually full.
Also, since he's adjusted fully to the diet, I have a couple questions..
-What is the appropriate Meat/Bone/Offal ratio?
-What supplements are helpful?

I just LOVE to see stuff like this! The ratios are varied depending on who ya talk to...but 10 -20% bone 5-20% organ
And the rest meat oughta do ya! The only supp I use is a fish body oil cap - for the omega 3's but if you are able to get grass fed meat (vrs grain fed) then you can skip those.

OK, thanks! I'm so happy with this so far.. I'd take a picture of his gorgeous coat and bright eyes to post here, but the digital camera is broken. I think that my future dog will be raw fed as well, I just LOVE the results. btw amyjo, thanks a bunch for your advice early on! thats what really got me started.
