This is probably a silly question but is a beef neck bone a knuckle bone. I have always given marrow bones and I wanted to try the knuckle bone. The butcher in the grocery store gave me a package of neck bones when I asked for knuckle bones. Do you think the neck is a tad bit close to the brain re mad cow.

I like the neck bones rather than the knuckle (soup) bones too, but I have a butcher shop just down the rd from me where I can get a mix of soup and neck bones for $.75 cents a bag. The bags have 4 or more large bones....Anyway......!!! ;D
With the neck bones, if you can get them in one large piece, it's better than cut up into individual pieces (so I read on the rawfeeding site), but I have been feeding the pieces for as long as I have been feeding raw and have had no problem. I do pick them up after they are chewed down to a size they could swallow, because the last bit is hard and has sharp edges.
