Well today in the midst of a BLIZZARD (almost) my dear dog decided he was going to get his own lunch I went out to bring him in figuring he had enough SNOW TIME and here he was with BLOOD all over his face, his chest, EVERYWHERE I thought OH NO I ran into the x pen gave him a body check NOTHING I then looked over in the corner of the pen and here was what use to be a RABBIT How it got in there I have no idea He then proceded to go get the remains and drop it at my feet YUCK! He was very proud of himself. POOR BUNNY I gave him a good wash because he looked like a KILLER with all that blood. I then removed what was left of the rabbit and disposed of it. PREY DRIVE You bet

You mean you didn't let him finish his lunch? ;D Yes, poor bunny, but if we have dogs we have to expect this sort of thing now and then. When we lived in Mt. our neighbors had tame rabbits that ran all over their property and one day when I was outside working in the yard, my Lab (that I had gotten from a shelter at 4 yrs. old) came running up to me carrying this huge white rabbit that was almost as big as he was, in his mouth....dead, of course! I was horrified and quickly took it away from him and threw it into the garbage before the neighbors saw it!

Ewwww ........ Seriously Ann, I would try to keep him from making and catching his own dining choices, just for the sheer fact that I'm pretty sure you don't want to have to get Blade dewormed on a regular basis, since wild rabbits and fowl are carriers of giardia . And a lot of our so called wildlife actually has some fairly high levels of toxins from crop dusting, water pollution, yada yada yada. And may I add, what an appropriate name you chose for your hungry little child killer .

Exactly what I was thinking that is why I took it away. He goes in for his poop test HW test and a full blood panel next week so hopefully he will test ok for all.

I just have to add to this.... Long before my husband I were married. (dating) He had a dog Jake...Jake was a hunter and would catch squirrels and rabbits. We would take them away but often times he already eaten half of it. Projectile Poo....YUP!!!! The dog was crated in the house, we came home to a wonderful surprise of crap BLASTED all over the room. He got it everywhere...it was truly disgusting!
