I'm so pissed right now , I could happily stab someone ( see my post in Temper Temper). So I'm reading over Cheyennes medical records, and those idiots had her revaccinated with a three year rabies shot last week. She had one before she was adopted out to them 6 months ago!! WTF do I do now These dogs from the Hazlet case all have compromised immune systems to begin with, I am at a total loss as to what to do. Loey, any suggestions?

Yep, they were given all of the vet records from when we first confiscated the dog up until they were adopted, and it states clearly on them that she had her 3 yr. rabies vac in July. They obviously couldn't read either ! Unfortunately, the second vac was given by the town's health dept. , so nobody bothered to check her previous records .

Laura, once the vaccine is given there is really no antidote, but you can strengthen her immune system through rawfeeding and homeopathic remedy. I would suggest you contact a good homeopath and I would suggest the one Ann and I have from the TruthAboutVaccine's list.
Here is her em address. It won't cost you anything to contact her and discuss it with her and if you decide to have her treat the dog, she's a lot more reasonable than an allopathic vet, plus once the dog is *cured*, it's cured for life.

Let us know what you find out.

Useless tools is more like it....how stupid can...no wait, I think I found the answer in Laura's first post.....that is just plain negligence and no way can they say they didn't know about the vac records...
While I'm not up to speed on the homeopathic side as muchj as Ann and Loey are, I would say that it would be one very good option to consider if the dog starts to show any signs - or would you start now with some sort of therapy?
Given the situation though, I don't think there is anything else you can do...it's like she's supervaccinated now....unless there is a way to diffuse the dosage in her system - which is why I would think homeopathy could be an option.
But that is only speculation on my part...I just hope her system can withstand the amount she's been given.
To finish my first thought, I just cannot believe people can be that careless, stupid, uncaring, irresponsible and negligent and consider themselves good dog owners - it truly boggles the mind.

Loey, thanks for Magda's em address, I'm going to contact her first thing tomorrow. I can definetely go the homeopath route to try and get her immune system up to speed, but I can't do rawfeeding with a foster pup, it won't fly with most potential adopters around here . I am giving her the highest quality kibble I can get my hands on (she was being fed Iams, just shows you how dog savvy these people really were ), and am also giving her the supplements I use on my own. I also suspect she might have sarcoptic mange starting in her ears, we'll be seeing the vet first thing tomm. I found out last week that her littermate Takota, who was adopted out to a lovely family, also has a rockin' case of it. Other than that, she has a good appetite (they all do from that house, they were starved as pups ), and otherwise looks healthy, so keep your fingers crossed! Here's her brother Takota, she looks like him, but with bi-eyes.

Awww...what a beautiful boy!
SM is a sign of compromised immune system. My dogs had it constantly, plus Kerra had one ear infection on top of another when they were being kibble fed, and hardly a week went by that I wasn't putting drops in her ears! She has not had an ear infection for 8 months now....since I went back to rawfeeding.
Anyway, I'm sure Magda will be able to help you. She is treating me now for my Fibromyalgia and I can't believe how much better I feel already!!!

Laura I am sure you will be pleased with Magda. Out of all the homeopaths I have talked to she is the one the made the most sense and she lives not to far from where my son is stationed in South Carolina. My husband is also being treated by her for his HCV and he is feeling much better. What she did for Blade is so AWSOME, and he too was over vaccinated because my STUPID former vet gave him an additional series when he was neutered even though I DID NOT GIVE MY PERMMISION I told him that he only needed to have the one set of boosters because he was already up to date BUT NO THE STUPID JERK went ahead and did it anyway and then told me that it was not going to hurt anything. You know that picture is making me drip spit all over don't you

Shen has that. What did she say to do for that? Brooke, the treatment depends on numerous things. We have to fill out a lengthly questionnaire and I thought some of the questions were irrelevent, since they pertained to personality and other things, such as traumatic experiences you have had, besides symptoms. The first thing Magda suggested I do is start taking the Juice Plus she sells. It truly is an amazing product and if anyone would like to go check it out, here is the website: www.juiceplus.comSince I have always taken supplements, I was skeptical, but after reading the information on it and seeing all the Dr's that recommend it for their patients, plus the Cancer Treatment Center's of America recommend it for cancer patients too, I decided to give it a try and in a few days I noticed a difference in my energy level etc. She also sent me a list of some other supplements I should be taking, some of which I already was, such as CoQ10. Yesterday Sibemom told me she looked up my remedy and it is the #1 recommended for FMS, so I went and looked it up and I was amazed, because the personality traits of the people who need this remedy fit me to a T!!!! I sent an em to Magda and told her how amazed I was and how much better I feel already. She told me since I have so much more energy that when I get done doing my spring cleaning I can go and do hers!
