Sorry if I misspelled it.
As if things aren't complicated enough.... I am starting to wonder what the heck I was thinking.
I know this is something related to the rabies vaccine. I vaguely recall I think it was Sibemom posting about it?? I think I recall its not something widely believed by vets or something of the sort.
Oh yeah... what brings about the question...
Well I still can't get Myah to eat anything raw... I have been posting about it the last couple of days and now that its been like 6 days worry is really setting in.
So I was discussing some of the stuff I am seeing at home with her and a couple of people had come back with carbohydrate craving and vaccinosis. Neither of these terms make any sense and I have now officially tried EVERYTHING else. Save just getting some raw boney stuff which i am going to try tonite. Cause she does like bones.
I dunno... I am almost at panick point so its either do or to heck with it, and I know this is the more healthy thing for her.
I am going to check out the classicalhomeopathicpets list. I figure it can't hurt.

Check out THETRUTHABOUTVACCINES list on yahoo You will get all the info you need on Vaccinosis. It's not just the Rabies vac that causes it but the symptoms from that vaccine are more dangerous because they replicate rabies.

Sibemom is correct about vaccinosis. Here is the Link. IMO this is the best list. groups.yahoo.com/group/TruthAboutVaccines/Vaccinosis won't cause a dog not to eat raw food. Hasn't Myah eaten anything for 6 days, or does she just not eat the chicken you offer? I would try some meaty beef or pork neck bones...or have you? Some dogs just don't like chicken. My female dog much prefer's pork or beef.

No she hasn't eaten anything substantial... a chunck or two, and that was Monday nite. I have tried almost everything I can think of and everything the list has suggested. I think the vaccinosis came from a comment I made about Myah being a little dominant and stubborn, and how she chews on wierd stuff like pencils and plastic. I am waiting for the hubby to get back from work so I can go to the store to get her some meaty bones. I am going to try it... She likes bones so maybe that will work. I will be glad when he gets his stupid truck fixed. I am tired of sharing cars.

How is Myah doing today? Has she eaten yet? One good thing about having 2 dogs....if one is alittle picky I just tell them the other dog is going to eat it and all of a sudden they like what I offered after all. Yes, they do say vaccinosis causes chewing etc., but I am not totally convinced of that one. IMO dogs just like to chew...some more than other's, and especially puppies and young dogs. I think if you give Myah some nice big meaty bones to chew, she won't be so prone to chew other stuff and it will sure help her teeth in the bargain. As for the dominance and stubborness, I'm not sure about that one either. It could be that she just doesn't consider you *Leader of the Pack*, or *Alpha* as it's also called, and most Rottie's I have known do tend to be very *confident*.

Yep Loey it is hard for me to believe that what we have come to know as NORMAL DOG BEHAVIOR is all caused by vaccines. I have said this a few times all of my dogs ONLY got their rabies vac after the intial puppy shots and I never did have out of the ordinary problems with their behavior. I do believe the problems I had with Blade were a COMBIANTION of vaccine induced and genetics. I do still beleive that vaccines along with a diet not suited for the species cause health issues like cancers, thyroid problems etc... and behavior issues like aggresion. Some breeds are just prone to dominant behavior and stubborness and some breeds for what ever reason seem to be more aggresive. This certainly can be compounded by over vaccinating. I am very glad I gave him the homeopathic treatment because it has helped. Jessyca I hope your dog did eat something by now

Have you tried smearing peanut butter on it? That always helps with us...

I agree with you Willow... Myah has been stubborn and a little pushy since we got her. Well since a week or so after she came home and way before her rabies vaccination. Which is my own fault. After reading up on vaccinosis, I don't think that is her issue. I just doesn't sound right in our case I don't think. BUT: I find homeopathology very interesting. I found a vet in my area and downloaded a book off her web page. Dr Dooley's book. I think its called Beyond Flat earth medicine. Or something of that nature. I have the link somewhere if anyone is interested. Anyways... It was a very interesting read.
