HI Gang!
I noticed while trying to catch up with the list's posts during the time I
was out sick, that the subject of vaccinosis came up several times. I was
proud of the group's responses and the exchange that went on the subject. I
was very glad to see the list's interest on the subject and mostly, I was
glad to see all the efforts the list is making to educate themselves and
others.
I thought that I would give you a bit more information on vaccinosis and the
homeopathic view of it.
Vaccinosis is a term that was first used by Dr. J. Compton Burnett, a
homeopath in the 1900s (I forget exactly the dates in which he lived and
will look it up in the next couple of days). Anyway, Dr. Burnett noticed
that many of his patients would come to him with al kinds of illnesses
shortly after having received the Smallpox vaccine (the ONLY vaccine in
existence at the time). Dr. Burnett identified these symptoms as vaccinosis
and translating or transposing his term into today's ramifications,
vaccinosis is the cumulative (inherited and chronic) and acquired
(experienced by the patient when receiving a vaccine) damage done to the
body by: the viruses in the vaccines, the adjuvants in the vaccines, the
foreign animal cells in which vaccine viruses are grown and the other
substances that are added to vaccines in order for vaccines to be effective.
As it refers to our animals, there are certain sets of symptoms that are
coined as being vaccinosis related symptoms and they vary, depending on the
vaccine that most damaged the animal or the susceptibility of the animal's
genetic inheritance.
Most vaccinosis symptoms are latent symptoms of the disease for which the
vaccine was used. For example, chronic bowel disease, chronic vomiting,
chronic heart disease (enlargement of the heart, heart murmurs and others)
are latent symptoms of Parvo and therefore, termed "Parvo vaccinosis".
Nerve damage, nervous system diseases such as encephalitis, wobblers, loss
of balance, Horner's syndrome, paralysis, licking the air, some types of
epilepsy, and others, are latent symptoms of distemper and termed "Distemper
vaccinosis". There are also some bone diseases that are caused by the
distemper vaccine, although distemper, does not affect the bones. These
diseases are HOD, OCD, Pano, elbow and hip dysplasia and others.
Temperament problems, such as aggression, fears, and other behavioral
problems, such as dogs that will not be contained in any area, dogs who
won't stay in crates, those that eat "indigestible" things, such as cloth,
wood, rocks, mattresses, curtains, furniture, etc. and that display
destructive behavior, like eating shoes, clothes, etc. Dogs that drink very
little water, or those who drink excessively (regardless of diet). Specific
aggression and fear issues towards humans, strangers, women, men, people of
certain skin color or certain characteristics, such as tall people, men with
beards or mustaches, people wearing hats, etc., or fear and aggression
towards other animals. Dogs with fear of water (lakes, beaches, rivers,
swimming pools), or those who display certain behaviors ONLY when they are
bathed, or come in contact with bodies of water. Dogs who like to wander,
are restless, drool or pant excessively, have dilated pupils, red
scleroticas (the white of the eyes). Those who exhibit jealousy issues,
food aggression, possessiveness, etc., are all exhibiting latent symptoms of
rabies and suffer from Rabies vaccinosis.
There are still another set of symptoms that are not related to the specific
diseases for which a vaccine has been used, but that develop when the immune
system reacts to a vaccine at the first front of defense, that is the IgG
cells. These animals have allergies to foods, grasses, grains and many
other foods, including meats. They tend to be attractive to fleas, flies,
ticks, worms, etc. They have red itchy ears, ears with lots of discharges,
yeasty, smelly. They lick their feet or other parts of their bodies
constantly. They itch constantly and loose hair or have sparse hair. They
develop vaccine site cysts, growths in other parts of the body and have all
kinds of skin problems. These are the hardest cases of vaccinosis to treat
and the ones that take the longest to go away and be cured permanently.
Unfortunately, these are also the animals that receive the largest number of
suppressing drugs like steroids, sulfas, antibiotics, etc., because this is
the vaccine damage that is VERY obvious to the owner and APPEARS to make the
animal suffer the most. Consequently, we run to get relief, and in the
process suppress the body's best way to rid itself of the toxins and the
damage done by the vaccines.
So now that we have talked about some of the symptoms, later in the week we
will talk about how the body reacts to vaccines, why these symptoms are
created and how homeopathy helps.
