Someone posted this link on Leerberg. I hope they don't mind but you have to take a look at this. It is a sad commentary on a stupid owner with an aggressive dog. At the same time, I couldn't help but laugh in disbelief that this dog owner has put up with what she described. Ouch. I won't spoil it for you. Take a look. movies.collegehumor.com/media/movies/dog_bites.wmvDo you think this was staged or is it for real?

While I know it's wrong to delight in the misfortune of others, I laughed my ARSE off at this one ! I believe this was from "Show Dog Mom and Dads" on Bravo, and while the whole program was pretty much a freak show in general, this was the topper. That little snot of a dog and it's whacked out owner should BOTH have been put in a ten day quarantine, the dog for biting, and the owner just on general principle alone .

Aside from the fact that the lady was nuts. I want to know why she was having such a hard time holding on to a dog that only weighs about 20lbs.

It looked to me like she wasn't holding the leash when the dog bit, although it is hard to tell. I assumed the dog was dragging the leash since you see her grab the leash after the fact. This is depite knowing that the dog bites. She tells people to run. That she is nuts is an understaement. I really hope that they take the dog from her and that the man sues her. And seriously, how many times would your dog have to bite you like that. Once, and I donate him as an ingredient to the local dog chow manufacturing plant. Just kidding...sort of.

I don't know what I would do if a dog bit me down there. But I know it would never happen again.

Unbelieveable, isn't it? If any dog of mine ever bit me or anyone else like that, people would be reading about it in history books. Speaking of dogs that bite. Has anyone seen the news about the 2 pits that killed the 12 yr. old boy while the mother was gone and she was accustomed to leaving the boy alone with the dogs? They had it on again last night showing the mother and talking about what kind of sentence she should and would probably get (probation). She sure looks familar to me, but I can't place where I have seen her before.

ugh...
I dunno. I have a feeling had anyone else brought that dog up it may have turned out to be pretty sane had it been brought up correctly. I think the acessment was right on... " dog mirror their owners behavior" and those who give an inch normally allow them to take a mile. It has a lot to do with how they are raised. This dog is off it's rocker.
