I'd like to help you but need more information what you are trying to train. A dog in handler focus works closer to the handler, moves toward the handler and looks toward the handler for direction. This is a good thing for sharp turns, quick direction changes and obstacle discrimination.
An obstacle focused dog will take obstacles of his own choice and pick his own lines between them. Obstacle focus allow speed, offers better choice of running lines and moves independently of the handler's movements.
A dog is not solely one or the other on course, but will tend to 'default' to one or the other when handler direction is unclear or confusing.
I'm only guessing that you are having problems moving from an obstacle by obstacle approach to actually running sequences. Is your dog taking one obstacle, then returning to you for direction before taking the next obstacle?
Can you describe the problem you are trying to solve?
