I posted earlier that Magic was in boot camp. We are continuing this training at home and I'm seeing results. She would still go off into a frenzy, barking and running around when someone is outside talking, or another dog is being walked down the street. She will jump on the couch so she can see outside and growl and bark. I had gotten her to leave the couch by telling her Magic off! then I order her to her crate (the only way I could catch her drag leash) and make her lie down and stay. She would still be very agitated. That was then. Now I order her off the couch and come to me. She complies and lies down by my side and is QUIET! I have used the leash pop and the sssst on her outside and have had very few incidents where she lunged and snapped at the neighbors. I'm begining to see a lot of improvement.
I'll keep up this training from now on. She is also looking up at me for approval on things she knows she's doing right. It's as tho she's saying to me I know that this is what you want mom and I do praise her for doing the right things. If she falls back and does something I don't like I do correct her immediately and make her sit or lie down and stay, then when she complies for a minute or so, then I praise her too.
This forum has made my life and hers a lot less stressful.

No, we didn't do it....you did and I am so proud of you! All it takes is being in control of your dog and not letting your dog be the one in control, and you did that. ;D
One thing I might do differently...when she is up on the couch barking at things outside, go to her, take her leash and give her a sssssssssst and leash pop right there instead of calling her to you first, so she associates a correction for the barking out the window as being the wrong behavior. You can still correct her even if she doesn't have a leash on. Go to her, touch her and say sssssssssst to break her concentration on the object outside. Then you can bring her off the couch or leave her up there, but correct her with the touch and ssssst everytime she reacts to something outside by barking. Her reward for not barking is being allowed to look out the window. If you are firm enough from the beginning, it should only take a few times until she learns that as long as she is quiet she does not get corrected and she can look outside. And never use her crate for punishment.
Keep us posted.
