Everybody wish us luck. Tomorrow, a couple is driving all the way from Iowa to meet Bennie, the foster that has been with me for 13 months!!! They are the first people to ever even inquire about him. Bennie was one of the sad cases, police took him from the owners after years of complaints of neglect from the neighbors. He lived in a 6x6 kennel for his first 7 years. He had extreme dog aggression when he first got here, I was going to put him down, hubby said no way. He is no perfectly fine with every dog he meets, is great off leash and just a sweet dog. His one and only problem is holding it. He can only hold it inside for about 6 hours. I’m not a big fan of crating, but I think I’m going to give these people a crate for Bennie to use when they’re at work and at night to get him used to holding it in for longer periods of time.
Anyway, I’m so happy (but of course will be extremely disappointed if they don’t adopt him, or worse yet, return him!)
Cathy

Oh! I've got all my fingers crossed for Bennie and you guys! He's come a long way, he deserves a great home for all that hard work.

Cathy they are GONNA take him! They aren't driving all that way for nothing...he would have to lift his leg and pee on one of them to get left behind

Cathy, got my fingers crossed for you! Why is it so hard to adopt the older dogs out ? I think they give the greatest amount of joy for so little in return. Amyjo's right, he'd have to go psycho for them not to take him home!

Good luck Cathy!! I agree with the others. This isn't a casual interest. They are obviously committed. But just to be safe, make sure Bennie pees before they get there. ;D

Good luck Bennie. Charm the socks off them. And try to hold the pee for a little while just to please your foster mum.
