I spent about 20 minutes one evening this week in the backyard with a torch looking for a black Kong in darkness. I have also spent over half an hour this weekend futilely looking for a Kong which has apparently vanished (or else Sailor has buried it in the rose garden . . .or possibly it has been carried away by a cockatoo).
So while Kong hunting, I came up with an idea: Why don't they make Kongs in high vis colors such as florescent yellow, glow in the dark orange or neon green? The dogs would not care, and it would make it much easier for the owners. Admittedly, they would not be as chic as the black or red, but this is one case where I would value function over form.
Just a thought.

This is a good theory...
