Just wanted to say hi and let everyone get to know us. Huey's my baby. He's an Alaskan sled dog, probably husky and greyhound. You can find out more about him here: www.geocities.com/daveyandi/huey.htmlOr ask us any questions.

Cheers, and welcome to the board. Huey's cute, but I read on your site that he doesn't like beer. Oh well, no dog is perfect, I guess.
Hope to hear more about you two in future.

Yes, its true. If you put beer or any other type of alcohol near him he will back away from it.
I know several dogs that will gladly lick a bottle clean, but he isn't one of them.

Look at the dog on that tounge! Welcome to Reality andiphant! ;D Your dog is a cutie pie ;D My lab has an ink splotch tounge too. VERY speckled. Everyone loves it. I tried to take pictures but...go figure she didn't like me trying to pull her tounge out of her mouth to see it. It's a little exhausting waiting for her to yawn.... I'll get it someday

No, Huey has never pulled a sled but I'm sure that's what he was bred to do. He can sure run fast. Once I let him pull me on my rollerblades, but that was a little scary and he wasn't really into it. Now when we go running I encourage him to help pull me up the big hills I just say "go Huey go!"

Hey did you ever here of something called a Springer. I dont know if you like to bike or not but these are really cool devices. You attach it to your bike frame and then attach the dog to it. My son has one for his bike and Blade loves it. I also use a similar attachment for my jogging stroller. So I can have hands free dog walking. There is so many activities you can do with your dog especially if they love to pull and have a good work ethic Sounds like you have a keeper in yours

Off topic a bit - I was thinking of getting a Springer, but was worried about pulling the bike over. The Springer thing seems safer for the rider than holding the leash though . . . .
