Oh Brooke, that face is so cute. Both of your dogs are gorgeous. We try not to say it around Peeka too much. It goes to her head....

Thank you for your compassion - Nicole, Brooke.. It is funny about Peeka Boo --I could smell she is always looking for trouble . And Nicole about my doggie Rex... First of all - I am from Romania but am currently living in the USA with my other half I was born in a mountain resort in Romania and lived there my first 25 years..the next four - here in the USA Rex's first owners used to own a chalet up in the mountains and they had Rex and his sister to guard it - because there are bears roaming the area. The dogs woud let them know about the bears and they would come out chase bears away. The bears don't attack the humans - they only come for the waste. Well, after they sold their chalet they kept Pufa, his sister and gave Rex to us since we needed a dog. The bears don't come so often at the foot of the mountain ..but when they do the dogs let us know to come out and make noises to chase them away. Sometimes it was late at night and when we knew that bears would come around more we let Rex roam and keep the other dogs in line - he made a good leader, being a lot more experienced from having worked with other sheep dog up on the mountain. So that is the story about Rex and his abilities. He was such a great dog - he passed away when he got a little old and sick and I was long time traumatised after losing such a great friend. He is always here with me ..here is a picture of a dog very much looking like Rex (except Rex had some white on his chest and on his left front paw ) This is a picture taken very close to the Chalet where Rex used to guard - the slope starts not far from it My home town - Busteni I am very fond of being member of this forum, Nicole - I have found people here that are as fond as dogs as I am. I will be reading most of the times - because don't know a lot about training - but want to be ready and when it will be time for me to have a dog (as an adult now) I want to have him well schooled . All of my dogs were very good - it is just that it is so interesting to be able to interact with them in so many ways.

My those are great pictures! Very beautiful! I had a friend back in high school who was from Romaina. I ended up working with his parents after I got out of school. They were wonderful people! His mother was so sweet! She used to talk all the time about how much she missed it back there. I can definately see why now...
