I just received this email from an agility e-mail list I am on, and it was such a 'feel good' item I had to share it. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am.
Congratulations to Wendy Gauntlett and her Border Collie "Willow" on gaining a Jumping Dog title (and third place) at the Northern Obedience Dog Club Agility trial in Victoria on Sunday.
It was terrific to watch Wendy partner Willow to successfully complete another round as she wizzed around on her motorised wheelchair. Fortunately she had changed batteries on the wheelchair after her agility round so that she had plenty in the tank for her jumping round!!!
Wendy has such a positive attitude and a passion for agility she is an inspiration to many. Congratulations again Wendy, a well deserved title.

This is indeed a "feel good story" Aussie...
IMHO, we should sometimes take a bit more time to be thankful for the good things each of us has cuz when you hear of the amount of courage, spirit and determination that lady has to do what she's doing, it should be a wakeup call and a reminder to never take anything for granted in our lives.....she obviously doesn't let any "barriers" slow her down....people like that are such an inspiration!!

That is a great story!! And Richard you are so right. We should be thankful for what we have. I saw a man the other day that had obviously been in a fire and his face was horrifically burned and deformed and he was out and about in his suit going to work and I almost wanted to cry for him. But he was going about his business not appearing to feel sorry for himself. You can't rightly complain about the small stuff when you see things like that and the lady in the wheelchair who is out living despite her handicap.

That is truly a "feel good" story , and definitely something to think about when we get frustrated and tired training with two perfectly good legs.
