Last night was pretty much fun at graduation up untill a small child was almost serioulsy hurt In the one picture I posted you can see her dressed in pink standing behind Willow and I and of course Willow trying to sneak over to give her a lick. The little girl was maybe around 3 or so, and completly unattended by her parents. Now most of the dogs are very freindly but this is a large group with alot going on. I kept an eye on her the best I could and also told one of the trainers that she was running loose, and they did go tell the parents to keep her by them. Well I thought that was the end of it untill all of a sudden this scream came out of nowhere, and when I looked over here she was on the floor with ( I dare you to guess the breed ) large hairy dog on top of her and kind of shaking her. I threw my leash at Emily (Lukes girlfriend) and ran towards them. Thank God Rollie (the GSD guy) was already there getting this damn dog off this little girl. I grabbed the child and he grabbed the dog, not real nicely either This was the same dog that lunged at his young owners face several weeks before. I don't blame the dog at all, it was the stupid parents She had no injury but her shirt was torn and she was scared out of her mind and crying so hard. I went up to those parents and gave them peice of my mind, then when she calmed down, I asked her if she would like to pet the puppy (Willow). Willow was so concerned by her crying she kept looking at me and whimpering, so when the little girl was put down to pet her all she did was lick lick lick and snuggle. I think she felt better because she was laughing and smiling and the more she did the more Willow slobbered her ;D This poor child could have been seriously mauled by this big hairy THING Now granted I do not blame the dog but still he should have had better manners. The parents I HOPE learned their lesson. This is a family oriented club and yes small kids do come to watch but they are kept under controll and watched, this was a very poor move by these parents and I am just glad that the poor kid is ok. The dog owner also got a chewing from me. She had the stupid hairball tied up to a folding chair while she went up to get her certificate, which by the way should have been taken back after that incident
