This paragraph in particular blows my mind... "What we do know is there are some animals that need more frequent vaccination than others and our vaccine recommendations have to be based on taking account of those animals." So if one dog needs more frequent vaccs they have to give it to all whether they need it or not. How lame is that for a response.

Well, from what I have learned, that statement in itself is ridiculous! No dogs need anymore vaccinations than any other's!!!!

Yes, it tends to make a person angry when you start learning the truth and find out you are being lied to by vets, drug companies and even things like the FDA etc. I have ordered some flea and tick repellents from *Flutterbye*, so will let everyone know how they work. They also have a mosquito repellent, but I already have a mosquito repellent that has stuff like Cinnamon and Citronella in it. I did not see any chemicals listed. I don't remember where I got it...I think Walmart. I put some on my hand to test it, before putting it on me or the dogs, because I am allergic to a lot of stuff, but it seemed to be o.k. and I didn't itch, burn or turn red. I also have another one I got on the internet from a site that only sells natural stuff too...no chemicals and I used it last year on myself and the dogs and was satisfied with it. So!!! Where's summer? We're ready!!!!! ;D

My vet said that the titer results they are getting from Cornell show that for some dogs the vaccines don't even last a year - I certainly hope these people not are vaccinating MORE frequently!
I did the titer test mostly out of curiosity and because I know if the results come back high it will pacify my husband.
I think I might need a new vet.
Nicole - I am glad you are going to the rawfeeding list - just remember some of those people are hard core - don't let it gross you out...you can still feed raw with normal stuff from the grocery like chicken quarters - roasts and pork ribs that are on sale, canned fish, (chicken livers which aren't that gross) etc...you don't have to feed pigs heads and cow balls for your dogs to be healthy!
