Is anyone familiar with Newman's Own organic? I am getting so confused. Which is best, Timberwolf Organics, Nature's Recipe, Newmans, etc? Do you know a good internet source to purchase these? Is it ok to rotate brands so dog won't get bored with same diet? I know that's a lot questions but I appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hi Mattie. Sorry I can't help with the first three questions. I didn't know Newman made a dog food. Is this Paul Newman? I knew he made salad dressing but not dog food. As to whether you should rotate food, it is best not to do this. Dogs have very sensitive tummies and the constant changing of kibble food will cause stomach and gastrointestinal upset. It may also make the dog finicky. When you change kibble food it should always be done gradually and over time starting with a 75%old food-25% new food mix for about a week and then 50%/50% for another week and then 25%/75% for another week.

I can't say I'm familiar with this brand either. I've personally never heard of it before. I know Natures Recipe is a decent kibble though. I also agree, I wouldn't switch it up too much. Generally phasing is the best way to switch and it can take a couple of weeks. Dogs have sensitives GI's.

Here is a link for Dakota™ Bison Canid Formula by Timberwolf Organics. Read through it and see what you think. Dakota Bison™ Canid Formula™ makes a wonderful BARF mixer formula for those who wish to add their own meat... That is interesting... I dont know if you have been considering RAW at all? Would be a great and fun way to offer your dog some variety! Yet not so scary to just jump into RAW feeding. Timberwolf is very expensive. Is $ an object for you? I know it is very confusing. I would love to help you. I have a passion for looking up different foods. www.timberwolforganics.com/ccp51/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F1257171&rnd=9231762&rrc=N&affl=&cip=65.227.15.27&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=dakota
