Hi folks,
Haven't posted for a long while..been very busy movin in and getting settled and decorating the little casa. it's just me and my 13yr old daughter now living in this townhouse. Ever since we moved, Ringo (remember my late hubby's choice of dog..white german shepherd) is now with my son-who lives in an apt by himself. So I attempted to adopt a dog-a 2yr old Maltese..everything was fine when we met him, no aggression at all, very friendly..when we finally got him..he bit my niece, my daughter but no breaking of skin. then he bit my thumb and it bled. so i had to return him to the rescue center. the history of this maltese was that the former owner got married and the dog didn't like the husband..he must have had aggression issues with him becoz this Maltese didn't like my son either..but he liked Ringo!
so now..I have a Lhasa/Poo puppy, TOBI is 8 lbs, 3mos. old and he is the perfect one for us! he loves the crate, doesn't bark, if he does bark, it sounds like a puff of air!
Here's my question: would you recommend the doggie door/sliding door? He does his biz out on my deck and he rings the bell (i installed a bell near the sliding door) to let me know when he wants to go out. I don't work right now so I have the time to housetrain him. when i am home, sometimes i leave the screen door closed and the glass door open but the screen door has a rip big enough for him to go through (thanks to Ringo's not so smart move-he went right thru it coz he thought it wasnt there ..Has anyone used this and is it safe, secure and sturdy enough that an intruder won't be able to come in?
thanks..as always!!
marsha
