I have mental health problems, which have left me very isolated. My husband and I adopted a beautiful little bitch just over a year ago from a rescue, who had very obviously been ill treated, and whom we know to have been left to fend for herself for some time.
She is a cross, we think Jack / corgi / fell terrier, with an incredibly strong, broad, almost staffi chest. She is 3yrs old and has been spayed.
Anyway, she has become my best friend, and baby(I know, it wasn't intentional), she sleeps in my bed, talks to me, we play together, and she has opened my world.
We have noticed for some time that she has seemingly become jealous of attention given to other dogs (she squabbles and snaps), but that has now become a problem. This week she snapped at my 5yr old grandson for no reason.
I recognise that it's probably my fault, I have spoiled her and she doesn't want to share my attention. It's not helped by us being at my daughter's at the time, so she couldn't jump on the sofa, and we had to leave her in the camper for periods as she and daughters cat don't get on.
We need to nip this aggression in the bud, but I'm not sure how.....can anyone help?
