The name of the book is: "A perfectly Good Dog", by Grace Saalsaa. It is 182 pages of a collection of short stories about her dogs and rescue dogs. She also has some of her childhood experiences/memories thrown in.
It will stir deep emotions in anyone who loves and cares deeply about our canine companions, so keep the tissues handy.
When I picked it up and began reading, I couldn't put it down until I had read it cover to cover. Maybe it's because the story of "Pup" (The Old Dog) is in it and it brought back memories of when I adopted him. The tears really flowed as I re-read his story.
I was also in Rescue at the time "Joe" the HW positive and severly malnourished dog came in, (Little Pieces), so know first hand "his" story.
You can purchase it on Lulu.com

Awwww! I didn't know you meant it was about YOU and PUP... I thought you meant that the situation reminded you of the past. I'll have to pick that up!

Brooke, I can see where you would think that. I guess I wasn't clear that the story is about Pup!
The "rest of the story" too is that "The Old Dog" was a male, not a female like the shelter said, and he wasn't as old as they said! Three different Vets estimated him to be between 6-8 when I got him, not 12!

I just saw this thread. I thought the same thing as Brooke when I first read it. Wow!! You and Pup are famous. I am going to have to get the book. That is so neat.
