Glad you guys are doing well. Our New Years was pretty quiet with the exception of my new little ankle biter. Nothing like a new baby in the house. Loving every minute!

Linda... stuff happens! I can't count how many times something happens in the heat of the moment and I think... I should have done it this way. Sometimes things just happen really quickly and your brain doesn't process it at the moment. I remember once when Peeka was a puppy (she used to barge the door) she squirmed her way out of the house when someone walked in and I ran all over the neighborhood running after her and cursing her. The whole time I was thinking... I should have had her on a leash in the house anyway. She was really young. Had I done that...I wouldn't have spent the better of a 20 minutes chasing her all over the neighborhood and school grounds a crossed a major road she almost was splattered a crossed.
Do they usually have it on a leash? I think overall , from what I've witnessed, people with toy pets have a tendency to throw the leash out the window and don't use them anyway. I hate that.
Put the blame aside. Don't let it eat at you unless you really need to get it looked at. All in all, Personally, I think it was more their fault than yours but sometimes you can't always control what happens or what your children do none the less. Stuff happens.
I hope you are doing ok and heal quickly.

Wow! She sounds like a handful! Have you worked with her with an e-collar before? Oh wait, are those banned in Austrailia?

Yours too Richard! ;D Such a bittersweet year.
So many ups and so many downs. Been a rough season without Kuma. I've had plenty of tears the last couple months. Seems like it should be easier than this by now. I get the fever for a dog every now and but I'm too afraid of the loss again.
For now...I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a baby this year. I've got that fever pretty bad.
