AAHHH Richard!! I'm terrible! I'm sorry! I didn't even NOTICE it was your birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I know there isn't much left of it. (If you have any spare cake feel free to send it...) ;D It's my little cousin Kaity's too (who is also a member here but she hasn't posted since her first day.) She lives a state away so I don't get to see her but I wish I could. And I also see it's Grace's ;D Busy day today! Happy birthday everyone! I'm sorry I'm a slacker and didn't notice earlier...

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY RICHARD!!! I remember that when we first met you were 41. It has been five years Brookie, not three. You and I were 21 then. Wow, time sure does fly when you are having such fun. ;D ;D I hope you had a great day Richard.

Thanks Nicki,
I had fun...in between working this weekend I managed to have a birthday eve on Friday, a birthday yesterday and today, I'm celebrating brithday boxing day!!
As for our time together, I was thinking about that too - I know it's almost 5 years that we've been together.
I got Rocky (who is 5 now) and that is when I found that other site (%@#@$##%@) but more importantly, I found probably one of the most savvy, dog smart, intelligent, down to earth group of dog handlers & friends that you just don't find anywhere these days.
The fact that we ended up here was just an evolution of a plan and as a bonus, we have a friendship that just gets better every year!

Happy Belated birthday my friend ;D Don't worry 46 is just another number and it won't feel any different than 45 You could have treated yourself to more than one piece of cake HECK IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY LIVE IT UP Thanks Ann, That is exactly it, it's just a number!! It's your attitude that counts!! I could only have one piece of cake cuz I had too many helpings of the roast beef/mashed potatoes/veggies.....and a few bevvy's too!!

Some day we are going to work out this internet cake thing.
So sorry this it late - Hip Hip Hooray for Richard - welcome to the 'mid' 40's
. . . and thanks for saving us from that nasty post.
Hey did you know that in Australia it's customary for the birthday person to bring the cake and treat everyone else? Yea, strange, I know. But it also kind of makes sense, no one else has to remember on your behalf.

Thanks Linda...really, it's all good...I'm learning the motto of your 'mid' 40's: Everything in moderation.....works for me! As for that post & website, well, it's sad that people will do stuff like that to thier dogs (with apparently little regard for thier safety and health) but that is not for me to question but having said that, it still doesn't make it right at all...it's just wrong. Ah, see, last year, I brought in some sweet & sour meatballs to work on my birthday..no, not a cake but 75 meatballs were gobbled up inbetween wishes of "habby birghdays"to me...I like your tradition though too!!
