Hello.
We need help with a family crisis. We have a male Schnoodle for 6 years that we got off the street. He has been an ANGEL! He's about 7 1/2 y/o now. The sweetest thing ever. He would, once in a while go after another dog during a walk but with some dogs (male and female) he would be fine.
We saw another dog 2 1/2 weeks ago on the street (looks JUST LIKE this one but with shorter legs). He is a 1 1/2 to 2 y/o male terrier mix. He is a very quiet and NON-THREATENING. We took him to our apartment and put him on the balcony to make sure the old one sees him and gets used to him. When we tried to bring him in the apt., the older one bit him on the tail.
We started taking them out separately for walks. We then would take them out together but with separate people. Me with the old dog and my Mother with the young one. They were fine walking in close proximity. Then I decided to take them out together myself. They are fine walking from the balcony through the house to the elevator. In the elevator they are fine and when we walk, the older one NEVER goes after the young one and they bump into each other all the time.
Please check out the video of them on my facebook page:

But when we get home, if the little one stays in the apt. too long before we can get to the balcony, the older one tries to bite him (has bitten him on 2 other occasions in the house and once on the balcony).
PLEASE tell us what to do because we are at wits end and we would like to keep the young one but ONLY if the older on accepts him.
We appreciate any help you might give.
THANK YOU,
Malama
