I also think that can go the other way to, the more fights they have the more they WANT TO FIGHT, I think that would then be the determining factor as to how strong the FIGHT DRIVE Is ? Yup, that is exactly my concern with it too.

Well, this is certainly an interesting discussion, and what I have come away with is that right now there still is no 100% answer or method that works with aggression of either kind, because any time we are working with some thing that is flesh and blood and also has a brain, there is just too many things involved and no matter how much experience/knowledge a person has on the subject, there are always things we cannot understand with 100% certainty. I also know that most everyone would disagree with me, but being mere humans, I doubt we ever will be able to figure out completely how the mind works on any animal. I know humans say, "but look how far we've come and what strides we have made." This is true, but: We would have to be the creator of that animal to fully understand it. Believing this is why I don't tax my pea brain by trying to figure out how an animals mind works, and why I am not a dog "behaviorist", and also why I don't put too much store into what behaviorists say is fact. They are mere humans with human limitations like all of us.

Actually I agree with that Willow. We can't know how an animal thinks, all we can do is use our knowledge of learning principles to try to modify behaviour. There are no certainties when it comes to serious aggression and individuals can behave and respond differently. Without doubt picking up warning signs in the early stages along with a good household management and training regime where possible is a far better solution than any kind of rehabilitation once the problem escalates.
