Thanks for the quick responses. I tried posting this on the rawfeeding forum but I can't log on to yahoo for some strange reason I did the 'forget your password' process but it won't send me an email Ive decided to give him 2 thighs this morning with the bone removed on one. Later in the evening Ill just feed him veggie mush as I did yesterday after the blood incident. Actually it was banana mush yesterday which he seemed to like alot. Thanks again, you guys are really helping us through this process!

A banana meal? John, I would not feed all veggie or fruit meals for several reasons. They don't need it. It doesn't fill them up It can cause diarrhea. I know when I posted the "menu" on the list here it has straight "veggie mush meals", because that is the "menu" I got from the breeder who helped me get started, but I have since found out all those vegetables/fruits are not needed and can actually cause harm. The only vegetables I feed my dog now are occassionally feeding leftover ones from our meal. The majority of what you are feeding should be raw meaty bones. That means bones with a lot of meat. If you can't find bones with a lot of meat, as Amyjo said, feed some ground turkey along with it, or add some chicken meat, but usually chicken has the right amount of bone/meat ratio. If the legs, thighs are small, just feed two!! That's what I do and have never had any problem with too much bone.
