Thanks for the update Ann, glad to hear that you and the crew are hanging in there.
You're correct, the nice weather is finally here and it's been busy around Casa Del Sheppy as well. Lots of stuff on the go right now inside, outside, beside and beyond. Some days it's tough keeping all the balls juggling in the air at the same time (a reality I know you're very aware of Ann) but we continue on, stick together and work through the daily issues that arise each day.
We'll keep a good though for Luke and hope and pray all the women and men over in Iraq and Afghanistan stay safe and come home soon!

I am working myself stupid as usual. I am trying desperately to finish my Delta CGC Cert IV in Behavioural Dog training. Just one more residential intensive at the end of this month, finish the diary through June, and three more written assignments, and WOO HOO, I'll be finished. A bloody lot of work for a certificate. That's about 10 hours a week of my life that I will have back.
I am also gracefully giving up the presidency of the dog training club in August. Don't care who replaces me, don't care, don't care, stick a fork in me I'm done, I am over it. That's one more evening per month at home, and about 100 fewer headaches per month.
So come September, I'll be only working full time managing the shelter, running my own business, and instructing two nights per week. That's my idea of relaxation.I've also come to the mental place that come September, I might be open to looking for my next challenging dog. I'm even toying with the idea of a Malinois but not sure if I want to work that hard.
It's turned winter here, and it's cold. Ok, going home now. I've got two foster kittens and a sick foster pup to medicate and socialise. Plus some pizza to eat and probably a calming ale to drink.

OK... I'll spill I've talked to Nicki a little. I talked to Laura a few months ago... Actually things are going pretty well for me right now. I have some big news... although it hasn't quite worked out the way I always planned. I'm getting ready to have a baby. (I know Laura's probably going to kill me. Sorry momma! ) I found out right after I talked to you but things are going really alot better in most ways. I'm happy about it now. It was a little traumatic at first. It took me awhile to come out of the fog but I'm ready. They say you're never ready till it happens. Hell I'm 27 and divorced. Not that that's real old or anything but... I guess it's time. Eric and I have been together about a year and a half so far. I'm 5 months (well, 19 weeks) along so far and really starting to show. I'm pretty sure it's a boy but I"m impartial. I'm already swelling which isn't good and the baby I think woke up like Saturday and hasn't gone back to sleep yet. Man it's a wiggle worm all the sudden! We find out next Tuesday what it's going to be... . It's the first grandchild on my side. Everyone took it really well. A lot better than I thought they would. They are really excited. His family... is super traditional from a small town so, they are adjusting but better than I thought they would. I suppose it's good they liked me so much to begin with. We just found out today he's getting a big huge promotion in about two weeks from a junior lender to a commercial lender. That will be the second promotion in a year and he will be looking at another one within this next year to an AVP most likely based off what his boss told him. He's doing really well at what he does and he has a lot of good people pushing him through. Anyway, in a nutshell that's a little bit about what's going on with me. Kuma's doing great. She turned 6 in April. No grey hairs yet! She still looks the same as she did when she was two... Eric thinks she's the laziest dog he's ever known but everyone loves her to death. They all say she's the best dog they've ever seen. I don't know what I'd do without her!

It seems you're always moving forward Linda - I'm always impressed and inspired by your efforts and attitude!! I hope the pup is better and that your winter is a mild one like what we had up here !! Malinois...nah, I think you should go for a GSD!!

Kill you, schmill you, I'm DELIGHTED for you ;D!!!!! Aww, Tater, that's wonderful, and as long as you're happy, that's all that matters. Hey can I call him the Tatertot ? And hellloooo everyone else, I've really missed you all! Things were a leetle turned upside down around here, my century old house decided to revolt, the entire electrical system needed to be yanked out, reran, and replaced, and the plumbing main coming into the house corroded, so that was done too. I've been living in soot, drywall dust, with no electricity, no running water at times, 4 very cranky dogs, and an even crankier husband. But the good news is I will finally get my kitchen remodeled once the final wiring is done. which makes me delirious (or that could be from nitrate poisoning too, since we've been living on hotdogs and burgers on the grill for the duration : . The Boy made it through his freshman year of college, his brother will be following suit in August. The training business has taken off to a degree that I need to hire help (and so much for retiring, I'm working longer hours now than I did as a suit!) and yes, I'm still involved with rescue, I just work with the NY chapter because Barbara and I see eye to eye on most issues. Which means new Broadway Barks pics in a few weeks . I hope everyone is doing well, and I promise to check in now that I'm sort of functional again!

Hey Laura glad to see you stopped by WHAT A MESS with your house, YUK!!!! Glad things are getting back to normal. Brooke I think TATTOR TOT is a wonderful nick name for you bundle of joy I know you are going to make a wonderful mom Not much going on around here, still fighting to get the RIGHT MEDS for my issues Not really much out there for RSDS it's more like a trial and error and for me it's been LOTS OF ERRORS My doc is comitted though to keeping at it, and right now the combo he has me on is helping. Now that summer is here and the weather is warm that does help my pain levels. I dread FALL even though that was always my favorite time of year but the change of weather and colder temps really play havok with me Other than that the kids are good, Luke should be home in Sept from Iraq, Andy just got promoted to Staff Srg. he is now the youngest Staff Srg. in the Marine Corps at only 23. Josh is doing good and is going to visit with Andy and Chie over the 4th, and Matt is keeping me and the dogs ON OUR TOES We have one of those 15ft round by 42 deep, Kwik Set Pools in the yard to save me from hauling him to the public pool, which by the way has been having Bacteria Issues and I also get to go in and do my water excersises, which do help. We do not use a chlorine based chemical system we use something called Pristine Blue which I can can tolerate and it is enviormentaly safe, always have to make sure of that I have to say the pool water looks so crystal clear and sparkeling and you don't have that AWFUL Chlorine smell I am very impressed with this product ;D The Dogs are good, sassy of course but good. Still batteling the legal issues but someday they will come to a close I HOPE So I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. I MISS YOU GUYS

Hey Laura, it sounds like one of those reno shows on TV...the more they open up stuff the worse it gets. Well, I hope you get the snazziest kitchen going by the time it's done!! (of course, proper wiring plumbing and a sound structure are important too!! ) Ann, is that pool big enough for a party?? I'm glad to hear the boys are safe and well and that you're feeling a bit better - as long as they find the right combo of meds that won't wipe you out you'll at least feel like enjoying the summer!! As for me, I finally landed a very cool job a few weeks back!! This one went from applying on Monday, interviewing Wednesday to being offered a position on Friday - very fast and efficient!! I won't go into details now but lets just say it's been a LOOONG time since I actually enjoyed getting out of bed to goto work!! Anyway, it's our Canada Day on Sunday July 1st so there will be lots of parties and celebrations going on all weekend - as well as fire works - next to thunderstorms, there is nothing worse than fireworks as far as Rocky is concerned!! We'll just have to go find some Sheppy earphones to block out the noise for this weekend!! LOL Tatertot...that name has appeal!! LOL LOL Everyone have an excellent weekend!!
